Dreamers. 1968: as we were, as we will be

project description

From Rome to Pescara, the AGI photo and multimedia exhibition for the 50th anniversary of 1968

We took care of the photographic museum set-up of the exhibition Dreamers. 1968: as we were, as we will be, adapting it to the spaces of the Museo delle Genti D’Abruzzo in Pescara that housed it. We took care of the design of the entire set-up: from the itinerary and signage to the creation of the panels, the printing of the photographs and the communication of the event.

The initiative to bring the exhibition to Pescara was taken by Arci Pescara, as an appointment in the ‘A futura memoria’ project, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pescara and Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo, in partnership with Anpi Pescara, CGIL, Associazione Ginestra, Associazione Artisti per il Matta, FLA – Festival di Libri e Altrecose, and with the patronage of Regione Abruzzo and Fondazione PescarAbruzzo.

The former president of the Chamber of Deputies and former leader of Rifondazione Comunista, Fausto Bertinotti, was present at the opening on 8 November.

The exhibition is the brainchild of Riccardo Luna, director of AGI – Agenzia Italia and curated four-handedly with Marco Pratellesi, co-director of the agency, and aims to outline a true journey through the Italy of the period: a story told through images and videos of the country of those years to relive, remember and re-examine that history.

The photographs come from AGI‘s historical archive and numerous loans made available by AAMOD-Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico, AFP Agence France-Presse, AGF Agenzia Giornalistica Fotografica, ANSA, AP Associated Press, Marcello Geppetti Media Company, Archivio Riccardi, Contrasto, Archivio Storico della Biennale di Venezia, LUZ, Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti, RAI-RAI TECHE, Corriere della Sera, Il Messaggero, La Stampa, l’Espresso.

Eppure si è mosso il mondo e se è accaduto, può accadere ancora. Fausto Bertinotti
