project description
Sciarr Line labels – Azienda Agricola D’Alesio
The creation of the Sciarr line labels stems from a historical brief. This line is in fact dedicated to the great-great-grandfather of the D’Alesio family who lived in 1863, Alessio D’Alesio known as ‘lo Scione’, a terminology used to describe tall, impetuous and cyclonic men. After studying the black and white photo and contextualising the historical period between the late 1800s and early 1900s, illustrations by Gustave Dorè were used as a reference for the creation of the sketch, simulating the technique of engraving. The contemporaneity is enhanced by the relief print of the earrings, in yellow, and the line, in blue, that contours the left silhouette of the subject. They become distinctive features of the entire line.
The bottle is a burgundy, cork stopper and transparent capsule. The combination of these elements with the help of a unique label, made on white natural hammered paper, has made it possible to create an organic, young and fresh wine line. The colour palette is created on the basis of the reference wine.
